Houston, TX – The 20th Annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic was held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Bay Oaks Country Club. The event was a resounding success, raising over $27,000 to support Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Texas’s Autism Intensive Residential Program.
The tournament brought together golf enthusiasts and philanthropists alike for a day of fun and fundraising to support youth with autism and developmental and intellectual disabilities. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful course (Texas City, TX) – College of the Mainland (COM) theatre program director H. Russ Brown has been awarded with the first ever National Alliance Outstanding Acting Teacher Fellowship during the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) National Festival at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. This award comes in partnership with the National Alliance of Acting Teachers.
“It's an honor, it's very humbling,” said theatre director, H. Russ Brown. “There's a lot of great (Texas City, TX) - College of the Mainland’s (COM) ICB and STEAM building were bustling with Process Technology (PTEC) students from nine different community colleges and technical schools as COM hosted the seventh annual North American Process Technology Alliance (NAPTA) Troubleshooting Skills Competition (TSC) for the first time on April 18 and 19.
A two-day event, the NAPTA TSC gives PTEC students the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills, as well as network and meet with industry (Lewisville, TX) - On April 18 each year, the nation comes together to celebrate National Lineman Appreciation Day, a day dedicated to honoring the men and women who work tirelessly to keep the power flowing to homes and businesses. During storms and natural disasters, line workers are often the first to respond, working long hours in dangerous conditions to restore power to affected areas. Their efforts bring relief and hope to those impacted by disasters.

The program honors excellence of overall production and offers student artists individual recognition through The Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce has announced the promotion of Stefanie Aldrich to Vice President. This is Aldrich's second promotion in her first year of service to the Chamber.
